KAWOQ (Cauac), pronounced Kawok
O B'AATZ, W KIEJ, S AAJ, N KAAN
KAWOQ protects the human community, the group consciousness of people who carry out their nourishing task in the service of their fellow human beings and, above all, in the service of God. He is the Nahual of the village community working together, of the community of states oriented towards the common good, of the planetary family, of the growing tree of life and the guardian of the different stages of life.
KAWOQ is the power of water and fire at the same time, in the natural kingdom of thunder and storms, the power of witches and natural forces that affect the community. Just as the rain and the thunderstorm that erupts through the atmospheric tension cleanses the air, cools it, creates clarity and at the same time nourishes growth, so too should man be a purifier, a nourisher and a giver in fire and water.
KAWOQ is the Nahual of mental and emotional connection in humans. One of the special deities in Maya in the sign KAWOQ is CHAK, the rain god of Maya. Everything nourishing and cleansing flows from it, it stands for the life fluids and fertility, it discharges density and tension, bringing harmony and clarity into humanity. CHAK works from the four cardinal directions in different qualities.
KAWOQ also nourishes as a Nahual of fertility in a harmony of male fire and female water. When the rain germinates the seed, the fire of the sun and the nourishing earth causes it to grow. The power of the storm and the fire of lightning combined with KAWOQ strengthen human activity with the tremendous power and primal force of a storm, the lightning strikes, followed by a clear, purified atmosphere and a nourished nature.
In our latitudes, KAWOQ shows itself in the natural forces and beings that affect people, which in legends and stories often give us valuable information about the qualities of the nature that surrounds us. The efficiency of a person who follows their life path connected to KAWOQ is correspondingly high. With the same violence, however, this Nahual can also entangle an unconscious, selfish and self-important person in his own misfortune.
The strengths of those born in KAWOQ are reflected in their willingness to take on responsibility in social professions; they are leaders in political events as well as in teamwork. At the same time, they are special natural people and lovers of natural creatures, and therefore also very good natural healers, herbalists and healers. They are alert, community-oriented, with great empathy, they have very strong intuition, spiritual vision and premonition.
As shamans and healers, their basic abilities make them strong, they rarely get sick, and they are hardly influenced or intimidated and misled by other people and situations. They are born of water and fire and are therefore often very sensitive, empathetic and generous, and in other situations stubborn, direct and self-important.
Due to their strong intuition and sensitivity in conjunction with the power of fire, those born in KAWOQ are excellent mediums and channels from the accesses given to them in water and fire. It is important for them to gain clarity and purity in their emotional world. Every open conflict intensifies from their basic principles and gives rise to human storms. From clarity, spontaneity, strength and warmth of heart, the KAWOQ-born develops a strong, calm and powerful personality.
The weaknesses of those born in KAWOQ: They like to interfere in matters that are none of their business, they take responsibility where it is not appropriate. Through arrogance and overestimation of themselves - their strength from the contaminated fire, power - they cover up their weaknesses and their basic emotional disposition.
They are easily manipulated emotionally and are susceptible to illnesses that manifest from their repressed and unconscious power. In the family, it is mothers and fathers who want to live the lives of their children, manipulate them and are jealous of other people going their own way. Contaminated thoughts and feelings bring much harm and conflict into the community.
Ceremonies:
On the day of KAWOQ we ask for the healing and harmonization of the human community as well as the existing tensions and strife. We ask for the dissolution of emotional or power-based resistance that hinders a group or community in its development.
We pray for spiritual help and guidance for those who hold key positions in politics and leadership. In KAWOQ we awaken our social spirit, our self-love, we focus our attention on interpersonal relationships and charity, on mutual help and care, on recognizing and implementing our individual but also shared life task.
In KAWOQ we develop a sexuality based on fire and water that is aligned with the divine creative spirit, from the fire of Kundalini power and a soulful warmth of heart. We ask KAWOQ for healing sexuality and the healing of infertility, impotence and illness.
We ask for rain and fertility for our sowing, support for all projects that serve the human community, for diverse ideas for a vital and diverse society and community (impulses of thought, flashes of thought). We ask for the healthy development of the unborn and for their integration into the family and the earthly community at birth.
Ceremonies on this day are particularly for the transformation of personal power and emotional outbursts that strain a human community, a partnership. We use water to cleanse negative feelings such as envy, hatred, resentment, jealousy, illness, feelings of guilt, unjustified accusations, backbiting, gossip, mental and emotional (magical) curses, stress, bullying at work, etc. We give the willingness to balance both elements to work towards a harmonious, developing humanity.
